of joy. All our babies are vaccinated age appropriately, dewormed, microchipped and vet checked.

About our Family
Welcome to our home. We are located in the beautiful Ozarks of Missouri. Buckeye Kennels is located on 250 acres of gorgeous countryside. Randy and I raise wonderful puppies as well as a fantastic line of Hereford, Angus and Gelbvieh cattle. We have lived in Missouri most of our lives. We have two grown children, our son Keanu and daughter Brandy, as well as three grandchildren, Quentin, Tatum, and Mare. Our grandchildren love the farm and love to play with our puppies. Each puppy is played with, cuddled and loved.

Our dogs are handpicked for very important qualities. Qualities that ensure they will be wonderful pets for the entire family. Health, friendly, gentle disposition, ease of training, intelligence, are just a few of the important characteristics we look for in our dogs. We want to meet the high standards and expectations of their new family with a puppy we are very proud of and that you will be thrilled to bring into your home. Part of our ongoing guarantee for health and wellness is our dogs are OFA certified against genetic health issues. As well as DNA tested for any known genetic health risks. This helps you choose with confidence a healthy, happy puppy with a wonderful future in your family.
Our dogs have large play areas with toys, slides and lush green grass to roll, play and romp. We have heat, air conditioning as well as comfy dog beds. Our dogs have indoor and outdoor access. They each have a name and when called they come running to greet you. We groom, trim nails and have their teeth cleaned on a regular basis. We have each dog examined and given a complete physical exam by a licensed small animal veterinarian every year.

Caring and Gentle Canine Training
We have been asked a lot about our Caring and Gentle Canine Training Program that ALL our puppies go through before going to their new families.
Here is a brief overview of our program.
We start when they are born.
We touch and handle the puppies at birth right along with Mom. We towel them off a bit, we talk to them, touch the ears, face and feet. On day 2, we again talk to them, touch their face, ears and feet. We do this at least every other day until they are 3 weeks old. At that time we add more stimulation, hold them longer, show them toys. By 5 weeks we are giving them toys to play with and encouraging playtime without Mom. At 6 weeks they get a little bath and we use a dryer to dry their fur, as well as work on potty training and crate training. At 7 weeks we put a collar on them and start on some simple commands. It all takes time but the end results are Fantastic.
We ONLY raise Yorkshire Terriers & Morkies. Raised in our home with ALL the love a family member deserves. We are a small family with a HUGE heart for our furry friends. QUALITY NOT QUANTITY.

USDA and State Licensed and inspected
We are a licensed and inspected facility. We have at least 4 unannounced inspections each year.
We have always had clean inspections with no violations.
We are inspected by AKC every year and certified by the AKC Registry.
We are inspected twice a year by a licensed small animal veterinarian, with hands on inspection of each dog individually.
